Yep, I’ve been. Great store. Walked out empty handed though. The cone of yarn I was eyeing, was way over my budget. Have fun!

Hey, you’re going to be in my area! Somehow I have yet to get to ArtFibers (tried once, but it turned out to be just past closing time). And I think we have some friends in common. Maybe we should meet up.

I can let you know in a few weeks - I am going the 2nd weekend in Feb - Planning ArtFibers trip and a trip to Imagiknits as well.

If you’re a sock knitter, you won’t like it. They have beautiful yarn, but about three or four which are suitable for socks. It’s also pretty small and have no notions. If you knit sweaters, scarves, etc., then you’ll probably like it. They wind off the amount of yarn you need from cones if they don’t have a ball already wound. It’s on the second floor in an old building - it’s pretty easy to miss if you don’t watch for it. Personally, I’d go to Imagiknits. If you get over the Bay to Oakland, go to Article Pract. It’s a glorious store - much better than both of the aforementioned ones. Just my two cents’ worth.

They have some awesome yarns - I think the key is to go with an open mind (because they do some things with fibre that are remarkable - silk that you would swear is wool, for instance, so it might take a bit of mind bending to decide what kind of project a yarn is suitable for), and the intestinal fortitude to pay prices that are on the high side. They do have a bargain rack; I got a mis-dye for a pretty good price.
